Three Cops Land In Trouble For Taking Undertrial To Heir Homes
Generosity shown by UT Police officials, who took an undertrial to their residence from the Panchkula court premises without permission of their superior officers, has resulted in the demotion of a Head Constable, forfeiture of one increment of a constable and censured to the third constable. The orders were passed recently by the UT SSP Naunihal Singh after a departmental probe was concluded against the three accused officials.

As per the order, on June 26, 2012, the three officials had taken an undetrial to his residence after his court hearing. This information was received by the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Lines, Suman Kumar, who then informed the officials at the SSP's office. After this, an inquiry was marked into the matter. The order was passed by the UT SSP.
