Foundation-Laying Of Parking Lot Missed by Half of Congress Councillors
October 17, 2013

In what seems to be an indication that all is not well within the Congress, half of the councillors of the party skipped the foundation-laying function of a multilevel parking lot that was held Tuesday.
While everyone cited different reasons for not being present, some felt sorry that local MP Pawan Kumar Bansal, who was not present on the occasion, was allegedly ignored. Others stated that people who had worked for the success of the project were not being given due credit.

A Congress leader said the foundation stone-laying should have been done by MP Pawan Kumar Bansal. He said that instead of Bansal being called for inauguration of an over bridge, which was a smaller project, he should have been invited for this function. It has also come to light that Bansal's name was missing from the invitation card.

Mayor Subhash Chawla said that invitation was sent to everyone and he was not aware why they did not attend the function as no one had approached him with any reasons. On being asked about Bansal not being present at the event, Chawla clarified that Bansal would be inaugurating an over bridge and that his consent had been sought for the same.
