PCA’s Upcoming Stadium Approved as Mega Project by Punjab Government

Punjab Cricket Association's upcoming stadium at Mullanpur, located at the outskirts of Chandigarh, has been approved as Mega project by the Punjab Government and has also been exempted from entertainment tax for a period of 10 years. It has further come to light that the Association (PCA) is also seeking some more concessions from the government for acquisition of some left over parts in the area of the proposed site.

During an Executive Meeting, 10 percent increment for the staff, of the Association, for the year 2012-13 has also been proposed by the PCA Secretary Pandove. A reliable source has further informed that during the meeting decisions over the meaningful and competitive format for the Punjab Inter District matches for age group and senior matches, a probe on the possibility of having a sponsor for Senior Inter District Tournament and to name the trophy accordingly were also taken.
