Rs 90,850 Collected In Five Days at the Mansa Devi Shrine October 10, 2013

On the fifth day of Navratra, a total of Rs 90,850 was collected at the Mansa Devi shrine through coins offered by the devotees. It took seven hours for 25 workers to count the coins. A weighing machine was also used for evaluating the amount.

The workers involved in counting the coins in the cash counting room of the shrine separated the coins in accordance to their denomination, weight and also put the coins in separate packets for easy storage.

During the process, eight categories were chalked by the workers, which included the old and new variants of five denominations.

Other than coins, in five days of Navratra, 10,168 kg of ghee has been received. Also, devotees offer items like electric fans and wall clocks other than money and gold and silver items. Nine electric fans have been donated so far.
